It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Angela Fernandez Rausa on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at the South Health Campus in Calgary, Alberta, at the age of 83 years. Angela was born in Bari Mangaldan, Pangasinan, Philippines. She immigrated to Calgary, Alberta, Canada in November of 1994. Angela was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease (PSP) in 2013.
Angela is survived by Pedro Rausa, her husband of 65 years; her five children, Nelly (Fredy), Rick (Jean), Josie, Vangie (Julius), and Eva (Ferdinand); her six grandchildren, Joanna, Juvelyn, Kathrina, Jhoy, Jun-Jun, Julian, and Abby; and two great grandchildren, Zeph and Jason.
Angela was a very loving mother who always had a smile on her face. Angela loved to socialize with friends, loved the outdoors, and cooking Pilipino desserts. Mom embraced all of life’s challenges with courage and grace and demonstrated faith, forgiveness and love everyday of her life. She will be deeply missed by all the many family members and friends who loved her and drew strength. She will dwell forever in the hearts of her children and grandchildren.
