Amanda Heather Wamboldt 1978 2019

Obituary of Amanda Wamboldt
On January 29th, 2019, surrounded by her loving family, Amanda Wamboldt gained her angel wings. Born September 24, 1978, in Bridgewater, she was the loving daughter of Heather Croft. Amanda resided at Ryan Hall for 9 years, and previous to that at Arborstone in Halifax, for five years.
Amanda lived independently for seven years, in her community, with the help from Services Support Group, and her favourite worker Sandy Conrad, whom she grew a special bond with. Amanda’s love for music carried with her to the very end. She loved to sing karaoke with the workers at Ryan Hall, the colour green and her sheltie’s Lily & Boots. Amanda’s laughter could be heard throughout Ryan Hall, enjoying the staffs sense of humour and creating nick names for all. Her presence was well known throughout. Amanda loved to work ‘Amanda’s Corner Store’ at Ryan Hall, which was named after her, and was always eager to please ‘the boss’, Karen Coulstring.
She is survived by her mother Heather Croft and Papa, Peter Whynot, Hebbville; sisters, Kelsie Croft, Hebbville, Kaylee Croft, Hammonds Plains; nephews, Hunter and Aiden; father, Richard Croft, Blockhouse; grandparents, Emily Croft, Conquerall Mills, Shirley and Everett Henley, Chelsea; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Amanda was adored by her late grandparents, Robert and Daisy Conrad, formerly of West Dublin; and aunt, Thelma Wile. She is also predeceased by her loyal dogs, Sheena, Daisy and Rascal.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 35 York Street, Bridgewater, and were funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, with Pastor Steven Hiltz officiating. Burial will follow in the Brookside Cemetery, West Dublin. Memorial donations may be made to the SHAID Tree Animal Shelter or the Recreation Department at Ryan Hall.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the staff at Ryan Hall, for loving our sweet Amanda unconditionally, as if she were their own, you were all truly her family. Your compassion, love and support will never be forgotten, especially at the end of Amanda’s journey. Thanks for their compassion, thoughtfulness, love and support, and all the extra hugs, visits, comfort and care you provided to us. Thank you to Dr. Debbie Gowan, who enabled Amanda to remain at home until the end of her journey.
Fly high Mandy, sore with the angels – Until we meet again.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Amanda
