Fischer, Alan Lewis:
Passed away peacefully with family by his side, in Kitchener, on Saturday, January 26th, 2019 at the age of 86.
Beloved husband of Renate (nee Muench) whom he married in 1974. Loving father of Mark (Shannon Balasso). Dear uncle of Don Fischer. Predeceased by his parents Hulda (nee Timm) and Fred Fischer and his brother Roy Fischer (Ann), Predeceased by his mother-in-law and father-in-law Elfrieda and Rudolph (Rudy) Muench and sister-in-law Adelheide Pursch. Survived by his brother-in-law Gunter Muench and his wife Edeltraud ‘Traudel’. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews; Claudia Muench, Sabina Muench, Ulrich Muench and his wife Suzanna, Ursula and her husband Owe Wiebusch, Hannelore Eckart, and Dieter Pursch. Alan was very active in the New Apostolic Church where he was sealed in 1945, Ordained a Sub Deacon in 1951, a Deacon in 1963 and later retired in 1997. He started his career in 1953 working at Canadian Cabinets, Waterloo until he moved to Budd Canada in 1971 where he retired in 1990. Alan will be fondly remembered by family and many friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at The New Apostolic Church, 160 Margaret Ave. Kitchener, on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Lunch following the service.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Parkinson Society of Southwestern Ontario would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home). Arrangements entrusted to Henry Walser Funeral Home, Kitchener 519-749-8467.
