Obituary for Alan Everett Kopnitsky
KOPNITSKY: Alan Everett “Poncho” Kopnitsky passed away, peacefully with family by his side, at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the age of 84 years. Alan was predeceased by his brother Rodney Kopnitsky; sister Elizabeth Kopnitsky; grandson Matthew McFerran; and his parents John and Emily (née Kotyk) Kopnitsky. Alan will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Elva (née Revill) of Brandon, MB; son Richard (Brenda) and their children Chad Kopnitsky, of Calgary, AB and Tessa Kopnitsky (Frank) of Calgary, Alberta; daughter Julie (Larry) Tokaryk and their children Chelsea Tokaryk (Tyler) and Tyson Tokaryk and his daughter Avett of Brandon, MB; and daughter Traci Perchuk (Brian) of Douglas, MB. A Family Service will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Alan may be made to Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation “Palliative Care”, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 2B3.
