Ralph Hansen 2019

The death of Charles “Ralph” Hansen, husband of Mary (Saunders) Hansen of Miramichi, NB, occurred at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the age of 86.
Born in Newcastle, NB, Ralph was the son of the late Ashjörn and Margaret (McGowan) Hansen.
Ralph was a retired millwright from the former Repap Mill and in earlier years was a radio announcer for the former CKMR, Newcastle and also in Amherst, NS.
Besides his wife Mary, Ralph is survived by one daughter: Ellen Chisholm (Jim) of Toronto, ON; one son: Chris (Jennifer) of Miramichi, NB; one sister: Pauline Parks of Fredericton, NB; one brother: Ozzie (Marilyn) of Ottawa. ON; sister-in-law: Pauline Saunders of Lower Derby, NB; six grandchildren: Krista, Becky, Alex, Jenny, Caleb and Hannah; one great grandson: Ryder and two step grandsons: Sean and Gavin and many nieces and nephews.
Ralph is predeceased by one daughter: Barbara Lalonde; three sisters: Margaret Hatheway, Lillian MacPherson and Betty Hansen and two brothers: Paul and Harold.
Visitation will be held at The Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi, NB, on Monday, February 4, 2019 from 1:30 to 2:45 PM followed by the funeral service which will be held at 3 PM with Rev. Alice Szemök officiating.
Burial will take place in the Saunders Cemetery later in the spring.
In Ralph’s memory a donation may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
