Dauphnie Cumberbatch
March 4, 1929 – January 20, 2019
It is with great sadness the family announces that Dauphnie passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Sunday, January 20, 2019 in her 90th year. Beloved wife of Alwyn for 68 wonderful years.
Loving mother of Charles (Judy) and Bryan. Proud grandmother of Natalie, Christopher, Lauren, the late Kaleb, and Jenna. Dauphnie will be dearly missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family would like to thank the wonderful team at St. Peter’s Residence at Chedoke Long Term Care Facility for the compassionate care and love shown to Dauphnie and her family. Your attentive care has meant a lot to the family. In addition, the family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the team at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their compassionate care during her final days.
Visitation at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. Funeral Service will take place in the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Mount Hamilton Cemetery, 260 Rymal Road East, Hamilton. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to World Vision Canada would be appreciated by the family.
