Cantin, Valeda (nee Mathieu)
Peacefully passed away at Nipissing Manor on January 19, 2019 in her 99th year. Predeceased by her husband Joseph Cantin and her son Raymond Cantin (Jeannette-surviving). Loving mother of Collette Page (Gerry), Suzanne Donovan (Al), Daniel Cantin (Lina), Robert Cantin (Carla) and Michel Cantin (Karen). Cherished grandma of 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her parents; Oscar and Julia Mathieu and by her brothers and sisters. Cremation has taken place at Whispering Pines Funeral Home’s Crematorium. A visitation and celebration of life will take place at McGuinty Funeral Home, date and times to be confirmed, shortly. A special thank you to the staff at Nipissing Manor for their care and compassion given to our mother over the last 10 years.
