Obituary for
Ivan Alexandor Chorney
In hospital on Sunday, January 6th, 2019, too young, at 75 years of age. Beloved, culturally vibrant son of the late Melvin Mendel Chorney and Huldah Malca Alexandor Chorney. Survived by his first cousins Betsy Rigal of Ottawa, David Alexandor of Toronto, Michael Alexandor of Vancouver, Patricia Chorney Rubin of Toronto, Rob Chorney and Kate Chorney of Sosua, Dominican Republic, and predeceased by first cousin Charles Irwin Heft. He will be greatly missed by his many close and devoted friends, including in a very special, never forgotten and well-nurtured relationship, his classmates from Westmount High School of almost sixty years ago, and his close friends and neighbours in Britannia. Special thanks to his thoughtful, considerate helpers and the staff at the Queensway Carleton Hospital. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Ivan’s life at a Memorial Service at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa, on Sunday, February 10th, at 2:00 pm.
