Obituary of William Barker
RCAF veteran of the Korean Conflict, retired OMC employee, life member of RCAFA #428 Wing Peterborough, and member of Branch 52 Royal Canadian Legion. At the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, with his family present, at the age of 86. Ross, beloved husband of the late Iva Bernard and the late Dorothy Humphries. Dear father of Robert, and step-father to Bonnie Bernard (Rod Brant), Shirley McMullen, and Betty Bowen (Ron Laughren). Dear brother of Gord (Pat), Betty (Don) Henning, Fred (late Judy), Clarence (Pat), and the late Ken (May), Ralph (Bev), Doug (surviving spouse Carol Giles), and Shirley (Wayne) Jarvis. Predeceased by parents Eldon and Evelyn Barker. Fondly remembered by many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Friends may call at ASHBURNHAM FUNERAL HOME, 840 Armour Road, Peterborough, from 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 18th. Air Force Association Service followed by a Memorial Service in the chapel on Sunday at 3 p.m. Reception to follow.
