Obituary of William Oille
Passed away peacefully on Thursday February 1, 2018 at age 87. Beloved husband of the late Joan Evelyn Seymour who predeceased him on July 28, 2017. Dearly loved by daughter Cathy and her husband Ron Baer. Proud grandfather to Carolyn (Alex) and Angela. Dave is survived by sister, Marie McLachlan and nephew Cameron (Rachel). Dearly remembered by relatives and friends. Predeceased by parents Bill and Irene Oille and nephew Colin McLachlan.
Dave worked for many years as the Director of Human Resources for Dominion Life Assurance Company. A dedicated member for 25 years of both the Cameron Heights Kiwanis Club and the Probus Club of Kitchener-Waterloo. A member of Knox Presbyterian Church, and prior to that, Trinity United Church. He was a member of the Board of Directors for the Kitchener Musical Society Band, Wellington Wind Symphony, and 55-Plus. Dave had a special place in his heart for Myrtle Beach, Red Bay, model railroading, KW Symphony concerts, and researching Family History.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Dave with his family during the visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday February 9, 2018 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday February 10th from 2:00 – 3:45 p.m. followed by a memorial service in the chapel of the funeral home at 4:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the funeral home’s Fireside Room.
Special thanks to the staff at Freeport Hospital, St. Mary’s General Hospital, and Waterloo Heights Retirement Home for their compassionate care.
