William “Bill” Day

It is with sadness we announce the sudden passing of our brother, uncle and friend, William Matthew “Bill” Day, age 71, on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at his residence in Bible Hill.
Born in North Sydney on October 4, 1946, Bill was the son of the late Fred and Margaret (Todd) Day. For many years he was employed at Woolco and recently a sales representative for ADT Home Security. Bill was a former baseball player and enjoyed playing darts.
He is survived by his siblings, Lorraine (Earl) Standing, Beaver Bank, Phoebe (Wayne) Pero, Georges River, Linda (Paul) Wilson, Hamilton, Mike Day, Sydney River, his sister-in-law Janet Day, North Sydney, several nieces and nephews and his very good friend Brian Dethridge, Bible Hill.
Besides his parents, Bill was predeceased by his brother Bob and sister-in-law Connie Day.
There will be no visitation or service by request. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney.
