Nécrologie
William Jones
March 2, 1920 – June 15, 2018
Peacefully at hospital on June 15, 2018 in his 98th year. Much loved husband of Ellen (married 72 years) and loving father of Valerie (predeceased), Shirley (Bill) and Raymond (Brenda). Beloved Grandpa to Michael (Beccy) and Joanne. Great-grandfather to Jessica and James, Hayden and Ethan and great-great-grandfather to Cory. William was a World War II (British Royal Air Force) Veteran who later served with the Royal Canadian Air Force and upon retirement, joined the Corp of Commissionaires. He was a caring, generous, thoughtful man who always put the needs of others before his own. His great sense of humour will be missed by many. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 20 at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre (2500 Baseline Rd., Ottawa) from 6-8 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 21 at the Arlington Woods Free Methodist Church (225 McCellan Rd.) at 11 a.m. A private burial will follow the service.
