Obituary of William “Bill” MacLean
MACLEAN, William “Bill” Vernon – Age 89 of Elmwood and Halifax and most recently of Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany passed away peacefully on April 8th, 2018 at Rosedale Home. Bill was the son of the late Daniel and Hazel (Robinson) MacLean. He is survived by special friend and partner Rose Smith of Halifax; sons, Malcolm (Wendy), Scarsdale; Michael (Marie), Alberta; Cameron (Diane), Watford; Kendall (Chris), Elmwood; daughter, Elaine (Jamie), Barss Corner; brothers, Daniel (Joyce), Brooklyn; Father Gordon MacLean, Elmwood and Halifax; sisters, Virginia Wolfe, Halifax; Charlotte Burns, Halifax; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers, Hughie, Bruce and Chester; sister, Margaret. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of C.F. Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. A private family graveside committal will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Bridgewater or Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany. The family would like to thank the staff at Rosedale Home for their special care given to dad. He held great praise for all of you.
