William Bill John Melnyk July 23 1935 December 28 2018 (age 83)

William “Bill” Melnyk passed away on December 28, 2018 in Vermilion at the age of 83 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Arleen; children Brenda Dougan (Joe Zeller), Deanne (Steve) Bolton, Donna (Kevin) Reeds, Shelly (Bryce) Scott, Darrel (Leanne) Hlus, Russell (Shannon) Melnyk, and Stacey (Ryan) Gamble; grandchildren Lindsey (Shawn) Kaschl, Trevor Dougan, Nicole (Shannan) Brodbin, Josh Zeller, Jennifer (Erik) Anderson, Danielle (Tim) Newman, Kim (Adam) Breland, Nicole Bolton, Alix Reeds, Jesse Reeds, Silas Reeds, Charlize Reeds, Laramie Hlus, Bailey Hlus, Quinn Hlus, Karlee Melnyk, Dana Melnyk, Tyler Melnyk, Sheldon Tarapaski, Abby Tarapaski, Ryker Gamble, Brady Gamble, and Brock Gamble; great grandchildren Keelan, Kenley, Bennett, Kingston, Kacen, Emersyn, Brynlee, Rhylan, Rhys, Arlie, Kirksen, and Iliana; as well by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents John and Rachil Melnyk; siblings Nettie, Olga, Walter, and John; and son in law Bill Dougan.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Innisfree Recreation Centre on Saturday, January 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Vermilion Long Term Care, Alzheimer Society Canada or charity of one’s choice.
