William “Bill” Gordon Ellis
ELLIS, William “Bill” Gordon
Age 82, of Lower Sackville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Bill was a son of the late Gordon and Grace Ellis of Ontario. He met the love of his life, Theresa Marie and had a son whom they raised in Nova Scotia. Bill joined the military in the early 1970’s and spent over 20 years in the Royal Canadian Navy. After retiring from the Navy he started his own Airport Limousine Company which he maintained until he was 72. Bill loved nothing more than spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren as they made him feel “young” again. Bill will be deeply missed by his loving son Sean; daughter-in-law, Tanya; cherished grandchildren, Marissa and Andrew; dear brother, Donald (Christa); sister-in-law, Wilma Ellis; nieces, nephews and extended family in Ontario and Nova Scotia; and also, very special friend, Helen Swain. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Theresa; brother, Jerry; sister, Doris Richardson. A special thank you to the staff of Dykeland Lodge, and Hants Community Hospital, Windsor for their exceptional care and compassion. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 4 at 10 a.m. in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville, followed by a reception in the funeral home lounge.
