Eager, Wesley Lester
“Wes” – Age 67 of Riverside Rd., Cleveland,
Richmond County. Passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, January 2,
2018. Born in Inverness, Wes was a son of the late Lester
and Eleanor (MacQuarrie) Eager. Wes was a member of the International
Union of Operating Engineers, Local 721 and a member International
Union of Painters and Allied Trades, Local 1945. He was a member of
the West Bay Road & District Fire Department for 41 years. He
was also a member of the Canadian Federation of Wildlife Association
and a member of the United Church of Canada. Wesley was a superfine
guy and loved to laugh and engage in conversation.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Carol
(Sampson); sisters, Marlene and Joan both of Halifax; brothers, James
(Diana) Cleveland; David (Margie), Hureauville.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 5 from 2-8 p.m. in
Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury and from where the
funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 6, at 11 a.m. with
Rev. Donna Lovelace assisted by Father Allan MacPhie. Burial to follow
in Grantville Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Wes may be
made to, Grantville Cemetery or West Bay Road & District Fire
