Wasyl “Mykola”
Kulyk passed away on Monday, March
20th,
2018 in Fredericton, New Brunswick on his
94th
year of life. Beloved husband to the late Eugenia (nee: Panas), Wasyl
is survived by his daughter Halia with husband Keith, and his son
Roman with wife Marusia, his brother Ivan with wife Francine, his
sister Pawlina and his dear friend Mariya. Wasyl was born in
the small village of Rakowec in Western Ukraine, where he was one of 6
children. After WWII he left his beloved Ukraine and
immigrated to England where he met his future wife Eugenia.
At the behest of his brother Ivan, he found a new beginning in Canada
in 1967, where he worked very hard to make a good life for his wife
and children.
He was a staunch supporter of
Ukrainian independence and was very proud that he lived to see the day
this finally happened. Wasyl was also passionate about gardening and

enjoyed watching the hockey games on cold winter nights, as well as,
