Walter Stupak
March 15, 1922 – June 19, 2018
Stupak, Walter passed away on June 19, 2018. Born in Selkirk, Manitoba on March 15, 1922, he was predeceased by his parents Anna and DyMetro, brothers Frank, Stan, Martin, John, sister Jessie Baker and son in law Wendell Carroll. In 1949 he married Elsie Checkowsky and together they raised four daughters. Walter was a very sociable man, a hard worker and lived life fully. He enjoyed fishing, travelling and a good game of crib but his real passion was gardening. He was a pillar of hope, a pillar of strength but mostly a pillar of love for his family. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Elsie, daughters Ilona Carroll, Wendy Martinsen (Keith), Kathy Miller (Terry), Margaret Plett, his 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be held at Victory Memorial Park at 1 pm on July 16, 2018. Donations can be made to Operation Smile.
