Walter Friesen 2018

OBITUARY
Walter Friesen
July 12, 1931 – September 22, 2018
It is with sadness but with peace in our hearts, we share the passing of a terrific husband, dad, grandpa, great grandpa and friend. Walt is survived by Kay, his best friend and wife of 65 years, daughters Lois (married to Jim) & Barb (married to Rob), grandchildren Graham (Trisha), Meghan (David), Matthew & Cassandra, great grandsons Jake, Justin & Caleb and sisters Lena & Erna.
Born a prairie boy, Walt came to the Fraser Valley as a teenager, soon after which he would meet Kay who became the love of his life. Walt’s heart for serving others led him through career adventures in retail and real estate marketing from Vancouver to Chilliwack to the Shuswap. Walt faithfully built and led his family and as well, served many years within his church family at Broadway Church.
As a man who loved his Lord Jesus and often noted that he was ‘Drinking from his saucer because his cup was overflowing’ Walt loved nothing more than to share those blessings with his family, customers, co-workers and with friends he made along the way.
We invite you to join us in celebrating Walt’s life of 87 years, and that he is home with Jesus, at 1:30 pm on September 29, at Broadway Church in Chilliwack. In lieu of flowers, donations may made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
