Vivian “Viv” Campbell died suddenly after a short stay in hospital in Mississauga on Friday, December 24, 2018. She was born in Lockport, Manitoba on May 26, 1923, the youngest of six children of William Goff and Mary Loutit.
After completing a B.Sc. at the University of Manitoba, Viv worked in New York and then at the Mines Branch in the Government of Canada in Ottawa, where she met her life partner Robert Campbell. They were married for 57 years until he passed away in 2012.
Viv was the loving mother of Greg (Kate) and Neil (Heather). She was a proud grandmother of Devin, Taryn and Brenna. Viv was predeceased by her sisters Dorothy (Mervin), Edith (Ray) and Anna (Tom), and her brothers Barney (Marguerite) and Haig (Olga). She had a special relationship with her many Goff and Campbell nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Family and friends may call at the Garden Chapel of the Tubman s (3440 Richmond Rd, Nepean; between Bayshore & Baseline) on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 10 a.m. until the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11 am. Reception to follow.
Interment at Capital Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Vivian’s memory to The University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
