With heavy hearts the family of Verna Mary LeBlanc announce her peaceful passing which occurred at Bobby’s Hospice on Tuesday July 10, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Born Saint John, September of 1938, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Genevieve (LeBlanc) Vautour. Verna was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Her family was the most important part of her being. She enjoyed Bingo and was a talented cook and baker. Those who knew and love her will miss her forever. Verna is survived by her four sons Mark (Doris Duguay), Luke (Barbara) and Carl (Wayne Ellen Schossler) all of Saint John and Keith (Brenda) of Musquash; loving and devoted grandchildren Genevieve, Shawna, Lukie, Shelby, Thomas, Corey and Jesse; precious great-grandchildren Aidan, Leo, Adalyn, Everley and Parker; brother Norman of NS and sister Melda Sunderland (Frank) of ON; sister-in-law Eva of Saint John; many nieces, nephews and canine companion DJ. Along with her parents, Verna was predeceased by brothers Arthur, Maxime and Phillip and sister-in-law Amelia.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Our Lady Assumption Church, 360 Dufferin Row on Friday July 13th at 10:00 A.M. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
