Vera Thompson-Schertzberg (nee Casey)
Peacefully at Oxford Manor Retirement home in Ingersoll on Sunday December 16, 2018 in her 98thyear. Predeceased by Scotty Thompson and Charles Schertzberg. Loving mother of Chuck (Mary-Lou), Bryon (Freda), Norm (Susan), Gary (Tamara), Lynn (Ron) Teel, Ann Elsden/Ireland (late Bud Elsden and Bernie Ireland), Samantha (Tim) Offinga, Gale Cross, Joyce (Pete) Havard, and the late Bob and Dolly Schertzberg. Loving Grandmother to Graceyn and Larkyn, Scott and Tonya, Sophia and April Vera-Lynn, Rhonda, Charmaine, Johann, (late Diana), John, Jon, David, Susan, Cheryl, Linda, Billy, Mary, Shelley, Janet, Rob, Cathy, Steven, Debbie and Eric. She was a beloved Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother. She was predeceased by her brothers Len, Frank, Gord and Leo Casey, and her sister Jean Jackson. An ambassador of empathy throughout her life, she will be dearly missed. Friends will be received at HILL and ROBINSON FUNERAL HOME and CREMATION CENTRE, 30 Nelson St. Brantford, 519-752-2543, on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Friday, December 21, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the service time at 11 a.m. Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery. Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
