1941-2018
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Vera Agnes Smith
announces her passing on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at the Saint John
Regional Hospital. Born on March 22, 1941, she was the wife of the
late Earl Smith Sr. and the daughter of the late Vernon and Winnifred
(Betteridge) Ryan.
Vera is survived by her children: Joseph Smith of Moncton,
NB, Deborah Eastwood and her husband Thomas of Willow Grove, NB,
Eleanor Saunders and her husband Charles of Quispamsis, NB, Earl Smith
Jr. and his wife Theresa of Passekeag, NB, William Smith and his wife
Susan of Rothesay, NB, and Veralynn Copper and her boyfriend Leo of
Moncton, NB; sisters: Margaret Bennett of Hampton, NB, and Bette
Whittaker of Saint John, NB; brother Billy Ryan and his wife Carole of
Saint John, NB; as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren,
nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Vera was predeceased by her
sister Elsie Ross and brother John “Jackie”
Ryan.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral
Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, where a visitation
will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 – 8pm.
The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at
11:00am from Reid’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take
place in the spring at Hampton Rural Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Vera may be made to the IWK Foundation
or to the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal
