Vera Dear
Vera Dear (nee Waldner) passed away surrounded by her loved ones on December 21, 2018 at the Langham Care Home.
Mom was born on September 23, 1931 south of Langham in the Neuhoffnung District. Mom grew up on the Waldner farm and was a member of the Emmanuel Church.
Mom married the love of her life, Ken Dear, on June 24, 1951. Soon to follow were four children: Dusty (Debby) born July 6, 1952; Doug (Evelyn) born February 18, 1954; Colleen (Owen) born February 1, 1959; and Bill (Charlotte) born November 18, 1960. The family eventually grew with five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Vera is predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Ken; her sister, Edith; her brother, Alvin; foster-sister Lois (Hazel) Linn; sisters-in-law, Doreen and Nora; and brother-in-law, Jake.
Surviving Vera are her four children; her sisters, Suzanne Waldner and Deanna (Hank) De Jong; and her brothers, Ed and Gordon; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Service will be held from Affinity Community Hall, 120 Railway Street, Langham, Saskatchewan on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Langham Cemetery.
