Velma Lillian MacNeill

The passing of Velma Lillian MacNeill, formerly of Birdton, NB, occurred on April 29, 2018 at York Care Centre. Born on March 4, 1935 in Fredericton, NB, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Lillian (Anderson) MacNeill. Velma was affiliated with Kingsley Baptist Church, Kingsley, NB.
She is survived by her sister, Carol Henry of Birdton, NB; brothers, Ralph of Fredericton, NB and Eldon (Donna) of Estey’s Bridge, NB; sister-in-law, Lorraine MacNeill; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Darrell as well as infant brothers, Douglas and Lenwood; brother- in- law, Jimmy Henry.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, Fredericton, NB on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 2 pm with Pastor Steven Teed officiating and Pastor Peter Thomas assisting. Pallbearers are Jeremy and Kevin MacNeill, Brian Sullivan, Jason Wilkins, Josh and Ben O’Neill. Interment will take place in Seymour Memorial Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Kingsley Baptist Church, Seymour Memorial Cemetery or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
