Vasa “Panta” Marina
December 8, 1934 – December 7, 2018
Passed away at Grand River Hospital on Friday, December 7, 2018, after suffering a heart attack, at the age of 83 years. Beloved husband of Ana (nee Muntean) Marina for 66 years. Dear father of John Marina (Delia) and George Marina (Bonnie). Loved grandfather of Christina (Ilker), Marianne, Jennifer, Daniel, Jessica, Ryan, Shane, Angela, and Alyssa, and great grandfather of Aila and Ayden. Dear brother of Ana and Marioara (Marin). Loved uncle of John, Nicky, Anina, and Angie. Predeceased by his parents Gheorghe and Maria Getejanc, his niece Rodika, and his brother-in-law Nicolaje. Before his retirement, Vasa worked for many years for Kraus Carpet. Vasa’s family will receive relatives and friends at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900), on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m., with prayers at 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Woodland Cemetery.
