Ulysse Bourgeois of Residence du Marais, Dieppe (formerly of Memramcook East) passed away at the CHU Dr. Georges L. Dumont on March 21, 2018 at the age of 84. Born in Memramcook East on June 1, 1933, he was the son of the late Edgar and Alice (Richard) Bourgeois. He worked as a Pipefitter until his retirement. Ulysse received a 50 year membership certificate from United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada Local 213 and 325 in 2015. He will be sadly missed by his four sisters, Rita (late Henri) LeBlanc of Dieppe, Emelie (late Eddie) Butler of Moncton, Emerise (Jacques) Boudreau of Grand Barachois and Rosanna Bourgeois (Norbert) of Shediac, one brother, Clovis Bourgeois of St-Joseph and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister Zina, three brothers Frankie, Antoine and Albert and his special friend Eva. Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook on Monday March 26 from 3 to 7 pm followed by a funeral service at 7:00 pm. Interment will be held in the Notre Dame de Lourdes parish cemetery. Special thank you to family, friends, musicians, Santa Claus and staff of the Résidence du Marais for their kindness, to the doctors and staff of Hôpital George Dumont, the Ambulance staff, Dr. Buick and nurses from Unit 5AN CCU at the St. John Regional Hospital who were very thoughtful and caring.
