Antony “Tony” Gargaro
Tony passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at the age of 60, surrounded by his beloved family and close friends.
Tony was born August 27, 1958 in Ottawa to his late father, Nicola Gargaro and mother Pasqualina Gargaro. He married Gina Gargaro who he shares two children with; Alicia Gargaro and Nicola Gargaro. He is survived by his sisters, Emma Smit and Anna Gargaro, his parent-in-laws Emidio and Caterina Peloso and his sisters and brothers in-law: Marietta and Peter D’Alessio, Anna and Aldo Belrango, Angelo Peloso and Linda Peloso. He was an adored uncle to 9 nieces and nephews and god father to 6.
His contagious laugh and warm smile will be eternally missed, but he leaves with us the gleaming memory of the man he was; a kind humble hardworking man, an incredible husband, exceptional father and outstanding friend.
Friends may pay respects at the Capital Funeral Home & Cemetery, 3700 Prince of Wales Drive, on Sunday, December 16th, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony’s Church, 427 Booth Street on Monday, December 17 at 10:00 am. Interment, Capital Memorial Gardens.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in Tony’s name would be appreciated.

I was tremendously saddened to hear of Tony’s passing. To the Gargaro Family – may the many special memories shared, comfort you at his difficult time. Tony was a childhood friend and i fondly remember all the ‘Cheshire/Iris Street’ times shared.
