The passing of Tim MacTavish of Fredericton, NB occurred on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at home. Born on September 19, 1957 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Charlie MacTavish and Betty (Leachman) Prime. Tim worked for Labatt Brewery for 25 years; he then worked in sales at Wood Motors, until he retired in 2017. He loved sports, especially hockey, baseball, golf and fishing.
Tim is survived by his two daughters, Jenny MacTavish (Ross) and Maggie MacTavish (Corey) and their mother, Jane (Watson) MacTavish; sister, Kathy McBride (Gerry); brothers, Andy MacTavish (Susan) and Scott MacTavish (Debbie); sister in law, Nancy MacTavish; step father, Don Prime; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Donald “Donnie” MacTavish.
Born: September 19, 1957
The visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, Death: June 12, 2018 June 15, 2018 from 4-8 pm. A Celebration of Tim’s Life will take place at Fisher Field on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 1 pm with Rev. Canon Kevin Stockall officiating; followed by a reception in St. Mary’s Anglican Church Hall. Interment will take place in Sunny Bank Cemetery. The family ask that in Tim’s memory you show someone an act of kindness and remembrances may be made to the Brendon Oreto Foundation or the charity of the donor’s choice.
