Theresa Agnes Doyle
27 November , 1929 – 7 April , 2018
Doyle, Theresa Agnes It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother Theresa Agnes (MacLellan) Doyle on Saturday, April 7,2018 in Oceanview Villa, Inverary Manor, Inverness. Born November 27,1929 in Cape Mabou, Inverness Co., she was the oldest daughter of Donald and Catherine (MacKinnon) MacLellan. Theresa was predeceased by her husband, Kyte (October 15/2006).
Theresa is survived by her five children, Greg (Ruthy) Doyle, Inverness; Donalda (Andy) Fougere, Halifax; Elaine (Ross) Beausejour, Inverness; Linda(Harold) Chandler, Whycocomagh; John (Cindy)Doyle, Edmonton; sister, Catherine (Richard) Gear, Detroit, Michigan; grandchildren, James, Jacinda (Jimmy) MacDougall, Kelson, Andrew, Cody and Brad; several nieces and nephews.
Theresa worked various jobs throughout her lifetime but she took the greatest pride in her final job as Head of Housekeeping Department at Inverness Hospital. She made sure everything was shiny and clean. Mom was a member of Stella Maris parish, Inverness. Mom was very devoted to her rosary and her Catholic faith. She also served as a Eucharist Minister and was part of many committees in the church
Theresa was predeceased by her two brothers, Alan and Alex; and her sister, Margaret.
Visitation will be held in Inverness Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 11 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass at 11 a.m. on Thursday in Stella Maris Church , Inverness with Father Dan MacDonald officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. A very special thanks to the staff at Oceanview Villa, Inverary Manor for all the care given to mom over the past 11 years, especially her final days. We, her family will forever be grateful. In lieu of flowers we are requesting donations be made to Central Inverness Palliative Care Society or to Stella Maris Church, Inverness.
