Mr. Theodore Joseph “Ted” Long passed away suddenly on December 31, 2017 at the age of 80 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Ina and Paul; as well as one brother, Tom.
Ted is survived by his one daughter, Lori (Brett) Edginton; brothers, Larry (Dorothy), Ken, and Glen (Bette); nieces, Paula (Mike) Law, Lynda (Chad) Bouchard, and nephew, David (Karla), along with their families; one granddaughter, Mollie, whom he adored; and many dear friends.
Ted loved to play cards, curl, cheer on his beloved Calgary Flames and Stampeders, and to teach Mollie to drive his truck around the farm.
An informal Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at the Kozy Korner Seniors Centre, 5024 – 53 Street, Lacombe AB, on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, Ted’s family would like memorial donations directed to the Canadian Mental Health Association, Alberta Division at www.alberta.cmha.ca, or to Lacombe Victim Services at www.lacombevictimservices.com
