Suzanne Marie MacLeod 1940 2018

Obituary of Suzanne MacLeod
77, Halifax, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at St. Vincent’s Nursing Home. Born in Kentville, she was the daughter of the late Jean and Violet (Sweeney) Archambault and the wife of the late James MacLeod.
After graduating from nursing training at St. Mary’s in Montreal, QC in the early 1960s, she served as a nurse at the Halifax Infirmary, Camp Hill Hospital, and the Abby J. Lane Memorial Hospital over the course of her nursing career. Suzanne’s love of music, art, her family, and people, as well as her boundless sunny disposition, are the interests and traits that defined her.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Jeanne-Marie MacLeod, Gatineau, QC and Katherine MacLeod (Jarret Ross), Indian Harbour, NS; son, Albert MacLeod (Eva MacLeod), Victoria, BC; sisters, Jeanne Pagnan, Aylmer, QC and Madeleine Walter, UK; grandchildren, Gabriel MacLeod-Bertrand, Jocelyn Ross, Tayte and Nyomi MacLeod, as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Her beloved sister, Marie, predeceased Suzanne.
Special mention should be made to recognize her second family at St. Vincent’s Nursing Home who lovingly cared for, and appreciated, Suzanne for over 9 years.
Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. (902-477-5601). In keeping with the family’s wishes there will be no visitation. A memorial service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Suzanne
