Steven George Hodgkinson
June 6, 1981 – June 29, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Steven.
Steven leaves to mourn, the love of his life, Brittney; his beautiful daughter, Brooklyn; his mother, Lynda (David); his father, Ian (Chrissie); his grandmothers Helen and Bernice; his brothers Tyler and Graham as well as numerous special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Steven was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba and spent many weekends and holidays on his grandparents farm in Harperville, Manitoba. After graduating high school from Silver Heights Collegiate in the year 2000, Steven worked for DGH Engineering Ltd and Taillieu Construction Ltd. The call of the west took Steven out to Calgary, Kelowna, Cochrane, and finally Steven found the love of his life, Brittney, and his precious daughter, Brooklyn and settled down back in Calgary, Alberta.
At the time of his death, Steven worked as Vice-President of Operations for KLS Earthworks & Environmental. Through many years of hard work, Steven earned the love and respect of his fellow employees and the heavy construction industry. No job was too small. Steven got things done!
Steven had a roaring personality just like his bike; a smile that could light up a room; and a heart of gold that drew people to him. Steven loved going for rips on his Harley and enjoyed good times with his friends and family. He lived life to its fullest! Steven will be missed dearly by everyone. Ride like the wind Steven!
