April 25, 1931 – June 24, 2018
Stephanie Zygadlo, beloved wife of Walter Zygadlo, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at the age of 87 years.

Stephanie was born in Lwow, Poland; and was fiercely proud of her Polish heritage.
As a survivor of WWII, Stephanie was initially redeployed to a refugee camp in Kenya, Africa, and later transferred to London, England, where she met her future husband, Walter. She and Walter subsequently moved to Calgary, Canada to raise their family and begin a new life. Stephanie and Walter lived in the same home for over fifty years. Stephanie has also been a life long member of the Women’s Polish Combatants Association.

Stephanie was a kind, caring and a giving person to all! She loved her family dearly, and treated everyone with kindness. Her generosity knew no boundaries. The world is an emptier place without her, but heaven gained hero.

Stephanie is survived by her husband of sixty-six years, Walter Zygadlo; son Roman; daughters Kristine and Donna; five grandchildren Chad, Andrea, Michael, Jacquelyn and Tina. They will all miss her presence in their lives.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Avenue N.W. (within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. Reception to follow at the funeral home.
