Stefan Sztaba 2018

Obituary Overview
Stefan Sztaba
Stefan Sztaba, age 93, passed peacefully
from this life on August 6, 2018 at St. Boniface Hospital.
Stefan will be forever remembered by his
loving wife of 65 years, Isabelle, his daughters Teresa (Bruce) and Caroline
(David) and his granddaughters Katerina, Olivia and Hayley.
Stefan was a devoted family man, who
personified hard work and perseverance, often in the face of difficult and
challenging circumstances. He was a
kind-hearted man and a true “character,” to which anyone who knew him can
attest.
Second only to Stefan’s love of family was
his love of fishing. In fact, he was so dedicated to the sport that he and his
long-time fishing buddies managed to lower a couch onto the pier under the
bridge at Lac du Bonnet so that they could fish in comfort and style.
The family would like to thank the staff at
Holy Family Home for the kind and compassionate care they provided to Stefan
over the past year. Thanks also to the
staff at St. Boniface Hospital for their care and support of Stefan and his
family during Stefan’s final days.
A memorial service and reception will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 2:00
p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West
St. Paul MB.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to
Holy Family Home, 165 Aberdeen Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R2W 1T9.
