Obituary of Stanley Wonnacott
WONNACOTT: Stanley William ‘Stan’ –
A resident of Raleigh Township, Stan Wonnacott passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus with his family at his side on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the age of 95.
Born in Raleigh Township, Stan Wonnacott was the son of the late Fred and Annie (Stacey) Wonnacott.
Beloved husband of 60 years to the late Betty (nee Marshall).
Loving father of Wayne (Linda) Wonnacott of Chatham.
Father-in-law to Linda D. Wonnacott of Calgary, AB.
Proud Grandpa of Deb Wonnacott (Jim Cass), Carol Wonnacott (Peter Nashed), Barb Wonnacott, Cheryl Stewart (Mike) and Brent Wonnacott.
Great-Grandpa of Jacob and Ryan Cass and Avery and Chase Stewart.
Dear uncle to Sue Marshall as well as many nieces and nephews.
Son-in-law to the late Cecil and Mabel (Lowry) Marshall.
Predeceased by his son John Wonnacott and his brother George (late Betty) Wonnacott.
Also missed by friends, extended family and the River Road Couples Club.
Stan farmed all of his life in Raleigh. He was an active member at St. Thomas Anglican Church and was a member of numerous agricultural committees and boards.
Family received friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Monday, February 5, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00am on Tuesday, February 6, 2018. Cremation to follow with a private family interment at St. Thomas Anglican Cemetery to be held at a later date.
