Stanley was born on August 26, 1934 in Candiac, SK. He grew up in Fillmore, SK and moved to Regina in 1954. Stanley and Annette were married on August 17, 1957 and not long after purchased their first home on 2500 McDonald Street and started their family. In 1963 Stanley co-owned a gas station on the corner of Dewdney Avenue and Winnipeg Street and in 1964 Stanley took a job at CIP paper company where he worked for nearly 25 years as a machine operator. He retired at the age of 53 and enjoyed his time working in his wood shop, fishing and golfing, and spending time at the cabin at Alice Beach. He and Annette were also avid Regina Pats fans, holding season tickets for close to 25 years.
Stanley’s greatest passion was his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren. He was their number one fan and enjoyed cheering them on playing hockey, baseball, soccer, track and field events, and attending dance and piano recitals.
He always loved to share humorous, witty life stories and could keep a room highly entertained. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
At Stanley’s request there will be no funeral. Private family interment. A Celebration of Stanley’s Life will be held for family and close friends. A special thank you to all the staff at Home Care, Palliative Home Care, Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care Unit, and Regina Grace Hospice for the exceptional care they provided to Stanley.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Stanley Nick Procyk October 21st 2018..
