Stanley E. Foster
The family is saddened to announce the unexpected passing of Stanley E. Foster of Borden, SK on Monday, February 5, 2018 at the age of 88 years.
Stan was born in Borden where he attended school. After finishing high school he worked for his father in “Foster’s Store”. After the death of his father in 1986 he continued as owner and operator of the store. The store was closed November 2016 after being in the family for 75 years.
Stan is survived by his sister Margaret Dragan of Saskatoon and some cousins in different parts of Canada.
Stan was predeceased by his mother and father Winnifred (Griffin) and Edward ‘Ted’ Foster, and his brother-in-law Eugene Dragan.
Stan was a world traveller to many places in North and South America and Europe. Later on he went on many “Bus Tours”. Stan was a long-time member of Borden United Church.
The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 14. 2018 in the Borden Community Centre with interment to follow at the Borden Cemetery, with lunch to follow.
