Obituary for Simone Cooper (Picard)
The family announces with great sorrow her passing in Sudbury, Monday, January 29th, 2018 at the age of 96 years. Wife of the late Newton Cooper. Beloved mother of Dennis (Patricia), Shirley Vallier (Donna), Gerald (Sue) and Pauline Silvestri (Anthony). Predeceased by her son John and by her daughter Judy Giroux (late André). Dear sister of Albert (Madeleine), Marcelle Gervais (late Peter), Rita Labine (late Edouard) and Françoise Shayer (late Don). Predeceased by her siblings Beatrice Martin (late Peter), Rémi (late Madeleine), Lucien (late Pauline), Arthur (late Florida), Rolland (Edna), Jean-Paul (late Dorothy) and Thérèse Garrow (late Bob). Cherished grandmother of 10, great-grandmother of 9, great-great-grandmother of 2 and predeceased by 1 grandson. We wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Pioneer Manor for the wonderful care for Mom throughout the years. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, Friday, February 2nd, 2018 from 7-9:30 p.m. as well as Saturday after 9 a.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel. Donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation or Heart and Stroke Foundation can be made by cheque or online at www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca.
