Shirley Saville passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the Chinook Hospice in Calgary at the age of 84 years.
She leaves to mourn her younger sister Sheila Dunn (Zeke); her daughters, Lori (George) Connell, Tracy (George) Hill, Kari Saville; and sons Wayde (Tara) and Chris (Tanya). She also leaves 14 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Shirley was predeceased by Jim, her husband of 60 years; her son Dale; son-in-law Ron Cloutier; her parents William and May Price; parents-in-law, Jim and Suzanne Saville; her sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Glen Warner; brother-in-law Gary Saville; and her sister and brother-in-law Thora and Don Hood.
Shirley was born and raised in the Drumheller Valley and spent her youth there where she enjoyed the family farm and riding horses. In 1953, she married Jim and in 1956 they moved to Calgary. Shirley dedicated her life to raising her 6 children and assisted with raising several of her grand-children as well.
At Shirley’s request no funeral service will be held. A private family memorial will be held on a later date.
