The passing of Shirley Edna Northrup, of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Harold Northrup, occurred on July 16, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB.
She was born on September 6, 1929 in Saint John, NB.
Shirley enjoyed gardening, cooking, playing cards and was an avid bridge player and reader.

Shirley is survived by her sons, David (Christine) of Toronto, ON, Mark of Drumheller, AB, Christopher (Kim) of Halifax, NS and Kevin (Nancy) Northrup of Toronto, ON; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Connie MacDougall of Trenton, ON and Lorna Morrell of Leduc, AB; brothers, Paul (Dolla) of Trenton, ON, Richard (Theresa) of Harvey, NB and Doug (Eleanor) Phillips of Cambridge Narrows, NB and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Heather Marsh; sisters, Betty Todd and Ann Lawson and her brother, Pat Phillips.
A celebration of life gathering will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 from 2 to 4 pm.
For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Fredericton SPCA.
