Obituary
Webb, Sheila Elizabeth (nee Norman)
June 4, 1925 – May 15, 2018
Sheila (Mum, Grandma) passed away peacefully just short of her 93rd birthday. Born in Calgary, she moved to Vancouver and completed nursing at St Paul’s Hospital in 1947. She then worked at St Paul’s and Catholic Children’s Aid. Compassionate with astute assessment skills, Sheila loved caring for the children. After raising her own five children, she returned to occupational health nursing at Woodward’s and the Bay. Sheila married the love of her life, Joseph Arthur Webb on April 14, 1952. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 2012. Sadly, Joe passed away shortly after. Sheila was a devout Catholic and was active in the church, participating in the Catholic Women’s League. She loved reading, bridge, and crosswords. It was a huge life change when Macular Degeneration took her eyesight. Sheila is predeceased by her husband, Joseph, and siblings Eileen, Geraldine, Jack, and Mary. She will be sorely missed by her five children Kathy Cadenhead (Glen), Margaret Webb (Gordon), Paul Webb (Barb), Barb Gingrich (Dave) and Maureen Pelton (Scott) and 15 grandchildren, Sean, Heather, and Ian Cadenhead, Jacqueline, Brian, and Jennifer Tait, Laura and Kevin Webb, Michael, Mark, and Lindsay Gingrich, and Gary, Bryce, Gregory, and Claire Pelton. Funeral Service will be celebrated on Saturday May 19 at St. Francis de Sales Church, in Burnaby at 12:00 noon, with viewing from 11:00-11:45. Please remember Sheila in your own special way.
