Obituary for Shawn Jason Bowden
BOWDEN, Shawn Jason – Passed away, suddenly at home, on Thursday, January 4, 2017 in his 37th year. Beloved son of Lori Springer (John) and Arthur Bowden (Sheila). Loving grandson of Dara “Bud” and the late Ruth Bowden of Nova Scotia and the late Waldamar and Mary Springer of Welland. Shawn will be sadly missed by his aunts and uncles; Delores and Joe Rioux of Newfoundland, Ron and Karen of Alberta, Terry and Donna of B.C., Bill and Margo of Port Colborne, Bob and Pat of Thorold, Gary and Chris of Welland, Trudy (late Mark) of Sarnia and Colin and Tammy of Port Robinson. Also survived by his cousins; Ryan, Jennifer, Courtney, Stacey, Evan, Jason, Ron, Shannon, Matthew and Samantha.
Shawn was a talented wood carver with a creative mind who loved nature, the outdoors and his “girls” the Dachshunds Ellie and Reece. He will be forever missed by his loving best friend Tina (Pip) and his girls who will always miss him.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the H.L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Tuesday, January 9th at 1 p.m. with visitation one hour prior beginning at 12 noon.
