It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sharon Dickson age 72, of London, ON announce her passing on Tuesday, May 23, 2018 at University Hospital.
Sharon is survived by one son Richard D (Shari) Brown of smith AB, daughter Theresa (Allan) Gadd of London ON; grandchildren Zach, Brooke, Kyle, Amanda, Mitchell; great grandchildren Logan and Stella.
Brothers Keith (Ruth) Bird, Lester (Marilyn) Bird. Sisters Joan (Peter) Yaretz, Carolyn Bird.
Sharon is predeceased by her husband Robert C Dickson, daughter Rona Leigh Brown Freeman, sister Janet Cassandro, and brother Roddy Bird.
Born in Amherst Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Lester Bird and Marie (Nelson) Bird.
Sharon had a long career with Miracle Food Mart and A&P and was one of the favored cashiers as she was very friendly! She loved getting to know others and made many friends along the way.
Sharon loved music and she loved to dance. One of her favorite weekend plans was always camping in her trailer at Shady Pines until she could no longer make her way out there.
Most recently Sharon enjoyed going to the Dearness home for therapeutic recreation, meeting others and enjoying a lunch out. She continued making friends throughout her life.
Cremation has taken place. An interment of her cremated remains will take place 3:00pm, Friday, June 1, 2018 at FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 1997 Dundas St. E. (at Wavell) followed by an Afternoon to Remember.
