Born June 7, 1970 – Toronto, Ontario
Sean passed away suddenly on May 9, 2018 at the age of 47 years. Born in Toronto, Ontario on June 7, 1970 to Sharon O’Sullivan (nee O’Brien) and Douglas McNaney (deceased), and lovingly raised in Bolton, Ontario with his step-father Barry O’Sullivan. He was an incredibly loving father of his two beautiful girls Hayley and Jaylin, who remain in the care of their mother Dawn. Sean was one of nine children and is survived by his brothers Douglas (Deb), Daniel, Terry (Margaret), David, Kevin (Brent) and sisters Laura (Jim), Anne Marie (Derryl) and Joanne (Cyrus). He was always a favoured uncle to his fourteen nieces and nephews thanks to his amazing sense of humour and willingness to engage always in their endless shenanigans.
Sean finished high school in Brampton, Ontario and immediately showed his incredible talent in the trades. He completed additional technical training to become a certified gasfitter and quickly built a successful business while working all over southern Ontario. Sean worked his business with passion and purpose right up to the end and will be missed dearly by his many friends he met throughout his successful career.
Sean’s biggest love was his family, and there was nothing Sean loved more than being with his family in the great outdoors. Sean was passionate about fishing for the ever elusive muskie and pike, and continued ice fishing throughout coldest months of the year. He also loved exploring the vast forest and countryside of Ontario on snowmobiles and quads. After all this activity, his favourite times always seemed to be around the campfire at night enjoying laughter and stories with his family and friends.
Always quick with a joke or a story, Sean’s humour put people at ease. Sean has countless close friends and enjoyed a treasured lifetime of deep friendships with people who will miss him dearly.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Wednesday evening, May 16 from 6 o’clock until time of celebration of life in the chapel at 7 o’clock. Followed by a reception. Condolences may be offered at www.EganFuneralHome.com.
In lieu of flowers, Sean would have been delighted if you would make a donation to a trust fund established for his beloved daughters Hayley and Jaylin. Donations can be made through their grandmother, Sharon O’Sullivan (contact mcnaney@telus.net if you need additional information).
~ Rest in Peace Sean ~
