Sarah (Sadie) McIntosh Campbell passed away at the Mount Saint Joseph nursing home, on Sunday, July 8, 2018, at the age of 91.
Born in Wick, Scotland she was the daughter of the late William and Christina (Cameron) Fraser. She came to Canada as a war bride in 1945 to live in the backlots of Douglastown. She was an avid gardener, housewife and a member of St Mark’s United Church in Douglastown and St Andrew’s United Church in Chatham.
She will be sadly missed by her son William Campbell (Sharon) of Miramichi, her daughter Cheryl Campbell of Rockwood, Ontario, her grandchildren Stewart Campbell (Deborah) of Ottawa and Tara Campbell-McGraw (Glen) of Miramichi and her great grand daughter Evelyn as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she is predeceased by her husband Fraser Campbell and sisters Louie Jones and Christina More.
At the family’s request, there will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at 11 am, from Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. David Allan officiating.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a memorial of one’s choice.
