Smith, 88, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital
on Sunday, April 29, 2018.
Born in
Springhill, NS, he was the son of the late Brenton and Elizabeth
(Pugsley) Smith.
Russell
retired from CNR with 35 years’ service. He enjoyed spending
time with his family, especially his granddaughter,
Isabel.
Russell will
be sadly missed by his son, Terence (Janice); granddaughter, Isabel;
brother, Lloyd, sister-in-law, Sandra Jones (Allan); as well as many
nieces and nephews.
In
addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Joan
(Raworth) Smith (2002) and brothers, Harley, Everett, Lawson, Stuart,
Fred, Floyd and Adolphus and sisters, Ethel, Hilda, Jessie, Eva, Laura
and Dorothy.
A graveside
service will be held at Fernwood Cemetery, Port Elgin at a later
date.
Fergusons
Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) in care of
arrangements.

Russell, donations to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation would
