Trefry,
Royce, 86 of Anderson’s Mountain formerly of Stellarton
passed away February 22, 2018 at the Aberdeen Hospital, New
Glasgow.
Born in
Stellarton he was a son of the late Ernest Albert and
Gertrude(Coffell)Trefry.
He was a
resident of Anderson’s Mountain for the past 22 years having
previously resided in Stellarton for most of his
life.
He was a
former employee of Maritime Beverages from where he retired.
He was an avid card player, and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his
younger years.
He is
survived by his children: a son Joe(Stella)Doucette, Eastern Passage;
daughters: Cathy(Carl)MacKay, Stellarton; Patty(Rick)Gauvin,
Millbrook; Joyce(Doug)Facey, Anderson’s Mountain;
grandchildren: Amy(Phil)Anderson, Jacqueline(John)Pound, Jessica
Martell, Stephen MacKay, Justin(Robyn)MacKay, Jasmine and Kyle Facey,
12 great-grandchildren; a brother: Ken(Lillian)Trefry, Smithfield; a
sister: Claire(Ralph)Foote, Plymouth; several nieces and
nephews.
H was
predeceased by his wife Kathleen, brothers Whitman, Owen
“Bud”, Vernon, Harold, Francis and one in infancy,
sisters: Mildred and one in infancy.
Cremation
to take place.
The
family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 7-9pm Monday at the H.W.
Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
Burial of
ashes will take place at Heatherdale Memorial Gardens at a later
date.
