Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, March 30, 2018, Roy Crocker of Mount Pearl, aged 62 years.
Predeceased by father, Heber Crocker, 1976; mother-in-law, Helen Legge, 2010; and niece, Erin Crocker, 1998.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife and best friend, Valerie; daughter, Tanya; son, Nick; mother, Viola Crocker; brothers, Wayne (Sandra) Crocker, Neil Crocker, and Rex (Elaine) Crocker; sisters, Rosalind (Eric) Hiscock, Myrlte (Ron) Harnum, Winnie (Bud) Cowan, and Sharon (Lloyd) Legge; father-in-law, Stan (Shirley) Legge; brother-in-law, Tony (Yvonne) Legge; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Roy loved life and he had the most amazing attitude. He loved simple things: camping trips, watching Toronto Maple Leafs hockey, playing softball and darts with the guys, Christmas and the cheeriness it brought, get togethers with family and friends, cabin trips, vacations, sitting around a fire in the yard, playing an occasional game of golf, sitting in the sun on the deck with a beverage, and spending time his happy place – Heart’s Delight-Islington. Roy knew that he was well loved; he was happy.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, Wednesday, April 4, 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. A celebration of his life will take place at The Church of the Epiphany, Heart’s Delight, Thursday, April 5, 2:00-5:00pm.
As an expression of sympathy, donations in Roy’s memory may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre.
