Ross Leonard
1932-2018
LEONARD, Ross – Age
86, St. Peter’s formerly of West Bay passed away on
Thursday, November 15, 2018, in the Strait Richmond Hospital,
Evanston. Born in West Bay he was a son of the late Creighton Robert
and Annie May (MacMillan) Leonard.
Ross was a member of West Bay United Church where he was an
elder and choir member. He was also a member of Head of Bay Seniors
Club and the CN Pensioners Association. Surviving are his wife, Tena
(Haley) Leonard; step son, Flint Green, Hamilton, Ont; sister, Minnie
Alice, Antigonish; brother, Mitchell (Marguerite), C.R. and Donald,
all of West Bay; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was
predeceased by sister, Jean Cresine, Frances Ferguson; brothers,
Herbert, Alexander, Walter, Lloyd, Lawrence and Ewen.
There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be 2 p.m.
Monday from West Bay United Church with Rev. Donna Lovelace
officiating. Burial will follow in West Bay Cemetery. Memorial
donations may be made to West Bay United Church or to a charity of
one’s choice. Arrangements are under the care and direction
of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Words of comfort
